S. H. Kwon Ph.D program

  • Introduction
    He majored in tourism and leisure management and military studies at Dongguk University, and then completed military service as an army officer for 6 years and 4 months. Since then, he has been in charge of overall operation and general affairs such as management and planning at “Dyne Oceano Hotels and Resorts” located in Aewol, Jeju Island. He obtained a master's degree in tourism from Kyunghee University, and is currently enrolled in a doctoral course at the STEP at Kyunghee University. He is working on research with interest in the marketing field and strategic management that connects the Jeju tourism and hotel industry with smart technology.

M. S. Kim Master's program

  • Introduction
    After graduating from the Department of Tourism Management at Jeju University, he is currently enrolled in the master's course at Kyunghee University STEP. During his undergraduate years, he obtained a tourism teacher certificate through the completion of a teaching profession, and worked in a variety of activities, such as university PR ambassadors and Dong-A Pharm's National Land Register. After attending language training in Canada and China, he worked for a musical ticket service company in New York City, and is currently working on related research and studies because he is very interested in the importance and growth potential of tourism using next-generation ICT technology.

    After graduating from Kyunghee University's Department of Convention Management and Houston University's Double Major in Hotel & Restaurant Management, she completed her Master of Hospitality & Real Estate Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Starting with Four Seasons Resorts at Maldives Kuda Huraa, she is currently working at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. She is interested in research on maximizing profit through hotel differentiation strategy using smart technology.

I. H. Bae Master's and doctral program

  • Introduction
    After graduating from the Department of Tourism Management at Gyeonggi University, he is in charge of tourism marketing at the Korean Office of the Mariana Tourism Administration and the Korea Office of the New York Tourism Administration, and founded and operates Travolution Co., Ltd., which operates an inbound travel product distribution platform service based on IT technology. He is currently enrolled in the master's and doctoral course at the STEP at Kyung Hee University, and he is interested in the online travel market and ICT-based tourism services.

  • Introduction
    He has been working in the field of data collection and analysis from 2001 to the present, and currently serves as CEO of Concierge Soft, a data collection and analysis company, and CTO of Value Labs. Currently, various private companies, public institutions, and schools are disseminating the use of big data and artificial intelligence. He is interested in the integration of big data and artificial intelligence while learning professional knowledge in the field of hotel/tourism/convention at the STEP.

She was in charge of tasks related to exam questions in the self-study system of the National Institute for Lifelong Education. She is currently enrolled in the PhD program at the STEP at Kyunghee University. With interest in the sharing economy, platform business, and social value, her research is underway with various stakeholders in the smart tourism industry.

XIE WENQIANG Master's and doctral program

  • Introduction
    As an international student, he earned a bachelor's degree in hotel management from Kyung Hee University. While studying at the university, he participated in overseas field training programs and practiced at the Beijing Hilton Hotel and Nanjing Intercontinental Hotel in China. Currently enrolled in the doctoral course at Kyunghee University's STEP, he is interested in management strategies and profit maximization in tourist destinations, various tourism companies, hotels, and MICE fields using smart ICT technology, and revitalization of free travel through the development of an active sharing economy.

    She graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic Univesity, and worked as a Marketing & Development Assistant of the Asian Branch of Standard International Group. She was in charge of various projects for 4 months including market research, market analysis, trend identification, etc. She is currently enrolled in the Master's Program in STEP. She is interested in studies to identify tourism phenomena through big data analysis and find psychological factors.
